Etéreo has been an unforgettable stay From the moment we arrived, the warmth, thoughtfulness, and genuine hospitality were exceptional. Our guía, Victor, was incredible — knowledgeable, kind, and truly made our experience seamless and special. A huge thank you to Daniella for going above and beyond to repair my favorite hat — a small but incredibly meaningful gesture that perfectly reflects the heart of this team. The food was outstanding, and every staff member was gracious, attentive, and welcoming. The property is stunning, but it’s truly the people who make Etéreo so special. If you love Auberge properties, Etéreo is an absolute must.

I don't usually write public reviews but I'm trying to do it more often for place and people I genuinely love and appreciate. I highly recommend Etereo if you plan a trip to Playa del Carmen. My experience here was one of a kind and certainly exceeded all my expectations. I left feeling completely replenished and nourished, not just physically but also spiritually. The best highlights of this place to me (aside from the serene scenery and beautiful resort) are the people. Everyone was very friendly and helpful! Special shoutouts to Ommar (my guide who always made things happen and make sure I'm well taken care of), Yenner (the shaman who touched and healed my soul deeply), and Hugo (the artist who brought out the craftsmanship in me through cold clay). They all made my trip so unforgettable and I hope to come back again in the future!

We just returned from a milestone birthday and babymoon stay, and this was truly an unforgettable experience — easily the best stay we’ve had in the Riviera Maya after many visits to the region. From the moment we arrived, the sense of serenity was palpable. Every detail felt intentional: the architecture, the natural beauty, the quiet luxury, and the seamless integration of cultural elements created a space that felt grounding, soulful, and deeply restorative. The hotel’s focus on wellness is evident everywhere — in the pace, the design, the food, and the way you are invited to truly slow down and be present. The ocean deserves special mention. The beach and water were kept remarkably free of seaweed at all times, which is no small feat in this area. It made swimming, floating, and unwinding in the water an absolute dream — stunning, calm, and pristine. The food was exceptional: thoughtful, beautifully prepared, nourishing without ever feeling restrictive, and deeply rooted in local flavors and culture. Every meal felt special. Above all, the staff went absolutely above and beyond. The level of warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care we experienced was extraordinary. Every interaction made us feel cared for — especially meaningful during such a special chapter of life. Nothing was overlooked, and every need was met with grace and kindness. Thank you for treating us with such care, warmth, and attention. This stay set a new bar for us, and we already know we’ll be returning. What a rare and beautiful place to rest, celebrate, and reconnect!

The staff here goes above and beyond. The rooms were cleaned multiple times a day, and the venue was stunning. Only -1 star because we were all eaten alive by mosquitoes. So be warned! My favorite restaurant was Che Che, Charlie was an incredible waiter. He went above and beyond! He made incredible suggestions and remembered our names and drinks for the week. ORDER THE COCONUT WATER!!

We just returned from a most amazing week at the property. Not only was the resort magnificent, the service level provided by the entire team exceeded all expectations. Staff at the restaurants and bars were outstanding and food was delicious. Housekeeping was very attentive, our guide, Denisse, was very responsive and our daily spa treatments were exceptional. On our last night, the staff arranged a most memorable private dinner celebration on the beach that we will always remember. We have travelled the world and have stayed at top resorts and I must say that this property competes very well with the best of the best.

Amazing hotel and amazing rooms, beautiful views and white sand beach, this place was one of my favourite hotels in the world. Food was great, lots of cool places to relax by the pool and firepits and the service was excellent! Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience all around. The service is outstanding from check in to check out. The guia (ours was Ommar) actually check in with you, your interactions are genuine, they are reliable and responsive. The rooms are gorgeous. The setting among the mangroves is so unique and beautiful. The pools are outstanding – the adult pool is quite close to family pool and interestingly family pool is just better all around. Regardless not a ton of kids and the pool experience, service, food all top class. We will absolutely be back and are already telling friends! Oh and the snorkelling was fantastic with the hotel. They really undersold it - the reef is so healthy, we saw turtles, huge stingrays, squid, many many beautiful fish. We did it twice!!

Being at Auberge Ethereo Hotel was an outstanding experience from beginning to end. The facilities are excellent, and the gym service is truly high-quality. The instructors who guide the different disciplines are top-notch, knowledgeable, and inspiring. Customer service is exceptional—warm, attentive, and welcoming. From the reception to the management, everyone is genuinely kind and helpful, which makes you feel right at home. The food is delicious, the views are breathtaking, and the weather couldn’t be better. The beach sand is simply phenomenal, perfect for relaxation and long walks. On top of that, the bonfire gatherings and full moon ceremonies are magical experiences that make the stay even more special. Everything here feels just perfect. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable, heartwarming, and inspiring getaway.
